COACH JOHN WHITE STEPS AWAY FROM STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEN WITH GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION

The SBA would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Coach John White as he announces his decision to step away from his role as Coach of the State Championship Men. Coach White has been an integral part of our organisation, and his contributions have significantly impacted the success of our men's basketball program.

Throughout his tenure, Coach White has led the State Championship Men to impressive achievements, including consecutive appearances in the finals for the past two seasons. Under his guidance, the team reached the Grand Finals in 2022, showcasing their exceptional season.

Coach White's commitment to the development of basketball within our community has been unwavering. He has dedicated countless hours in various capacities, notably in the VJBL space, with coaching clinics, and as a lead coach at VJBL tryouts. His passion for nurturing young talent has been instrumental in shaping the future of basketball in our club.

Not only has Coach White played a pivotal role in the success of our men's program, but he has also made significant contributions to our State Championship Women's program. His leadership, expertise, and ability to bring out the best in his players have been evident across both teams.

On behalf of the entire SBA, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Coach John White for his outstanding commitment, dedication, and achievements. His contributions have left an indelible mark on our organisation, and we wish him the very best in all his future coaching endeavours.

The SBA will advertise the role of State Championship Men’s Coach and begin the search for suitable candidates in the coming weeks.
