Meet Glenn, the heartbeat of the SBA! With over 30 years of SBA love, Glenn brings a forest of experience in project management, logistics, and even the restaurant scene. A true SBA veteran, he’s played, refereed, coached, and even steered the ship as Board President in another time. Glenn is on a mission to spread the basketball joy from beginners to elites, and his Collingwood pride after the 2023 AFL premiership – Carna Pies!

​Nathan, our Vice President, and construction guru is no stranger to the SBA scene since 1984. From playing to coaching, he’s all about passing on the basketball love. Nathan’s commitment goes beyond the court; he’s marched for stadium rebuilds, discussed extensions, and is now focused on providing a welcoming space for all. When not in project mode, catch him enjoying NBA, NHL, and NFL or relishing in domestic basketball.

​Meet Adam, our financial maestro! A Chartered Accountant with a knack for numbers, Adam’s got financial management skills from JLL to Swimming Australia. Though new to SBA, he’s ready to hoop it up. A basketball player turned Lego enthusiast, Adam’s vision is to modernise SBA and create a thriving junior competition. His financial wizardry ensures the Association’s dreams are funded and flourishing.

Meet Kirsten, our governance, risk and compliance specialist! Since 2022, she’s been rocking the SBA board. Leading a government compliance team in a law firm, Kirsten navigates government policies like a pro. Fresh to Sunbury but already part of a domestic club, she’s not just a spectator; she’s managing an U19 boys’ team. Kirsten’s board powerhouse, focussing on transparency, teamwork, and strategic direction for the SBA’s success.

Narelle, a board member with 22 years of investigating and analytics experience, is our mental health champion. With a basketball legacy starting at 7, she’s coaching, playing, and spreading positivity. Narelle’s holistic approach ensures fairness, and her extensive communication skills shine in diverse communities. When not on the court, she’s enjoying family time, beach trips, and a good run.

Russell, our aircraft expert, is flying high as a general board member. Committed to domestic basketball, he’s not just a coach but also oversees the domestic, VJBL, and Big V portfolios. Russell’s vision is to soar high, promoting basketball in Sunbury.  His leadership skills, finely tuned in high-reliability organisations, ensure smooth operations in the SBA.

Sebastian, our man with 29 years at Qantas, is here to deliver! Part of the SBA board since 2017, Sebastian wears many hats, working on grants and by-law reviews. His basketball journey, starting in the 80’s, makes him a seasoned contributor. Fully committed to the SBA’s goals, Sebastian’s diverse skills make him an invaluable asset.

Laurelle, our marketing master, brings 28 years of success to the SBA. As a Team Manager for a domestic and Junior Jets teams, she’s a guiding force on and off the court. Passionate about creating a safe space for all, Laurelle excels in relationship management. Beyond basketball, she’s enjoying Pilates and quality time with loves ones.
