The SBA would like to bid a fond farewell to three remarkable individuals who have left an indelible mark on our Big V games days.
Kate Scanlin, 13 years in statistics for the SBA. Kate has been a valuable contributor to the SBA’s stats team, along with being a long-time contributor to the club.
Lee Marshall, started young on the stats bench, and has contributed 13 years behind the stats computer of us. Lee has also been on the WNBL panel and was selected for the 2018 stats team for the Australian Booomers Vs Kazakstan game.
And then there's Sean Farrelly, the resonant voice that has echoed through ‘The Hangar’, captivating basketball enthusiasts with his iconic announcements for over 30 years. With each call, Sean brought an air of anticipation and excitement that made every match feel like an epic showdown.
As these three remarkable individuals embark on a new chapter in their lives, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their contributions to the Sunbury Basketball Association and Big V. Their expertise, dedication, and passion have enriched the game and inspired countless others. While they may be stepping away from their respective positions, their influence will forever remain woven into the fabric of Jets history. We wish Kate Scanlin, Lee Marshall, and Sean Farrelly all the best in their well-deserved retirements.
