The Sunbury Basketball Association is thrilled to announce a significant addition to our Women’s program. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new Head Coach, Stacey Stewart.
Coach Stewart comes up from her role as assistant to Last season team. The SBA is confident that Stacey is the perfect leader to guide our Youth League Women to even greater success.
“We are excited to have Stacey onboard as our 2024 Youth League Women’s Head coach. Through her experiences as a 2023 Big V assistant coach and her role in our Junior Jets program, Stacey has built relationships with players and possesses a deep understanding of the talent available. She is keen to create a hard-working and enjoyable connection between VJBL and State Championship Women. Stacey has presented a clear plan, which aligns with the Club’s, with the immediate focus being to select a dedicated and engaged team that has the 2024 Big V Play-in tournament in its sights. We look forward to supporting Stacey, her staff and our Youth League Women through the 2024 season.” said Interim President Glenn Ogston.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, Coach Stewart brings a fresh perspective, a passion for excellence, and a dedication to nurturing the talents and potential of our young athletes. Their vision aligns perfectly with our organisation's commitment to continue the work by previous coaches. Stacey already has a great repour with the current playing group.
Our entire Sunbury Basketball family is looking forward to the valuable insights, leadership, and mentorship that Coach Stewart will provide. Together, we aim to achieve new levels of success, both on and off the court.
