The SBA is thrilled to announce the latest addition to our Big V coaching staff, Nathan Heywood. Coach Heywood will be taking on the role of Head Coach for the State Championship Men's (SCM) team in 2024. Coach Heywood, who previously served as the assistant coach for the SCM this season, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the game that will undoubtedly lead The State Championship Men in the upcoming season.
Nathan Heywood's coaching journey has been nothing short of impressive. Prior to joining our coaching staff, he honed his skills as a coach at various levels of the game, from youth programs to junior teams. His diverse coaching background, along with his knowledge of the game, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our team.
One of Coach Heywood's strengths as a coach is his commitment to player development. He understands that the journey to a championship involves nurturing the potential of each player on the roster. Under his leadership, we can expect to see our athletes not only grow as basketball players but also as individuals who exemplify dedication, sportsmanship, community, and teamwork, all of SBA’s core values.
