Liz's Bio
Liz Rowland (née Down) is one of the most influential figures in Sunbury Jets history.

Representing the Sunbury Jets in juniors and seniors while playing domestically for the Lions Basketball Club, Liz is the SBA’s most capped female player amassing an outstanding 275 BigV Championship games for the Sunbury Jets between 1996 and 2009, captaining the women’s team from 2000 to 2008.

Liz was recognised early as a rising star, winning the SBA’s “Karen Ashworth Memorial Award – Most Promising Junior Girl” in 1997, and later the SBA’s “Colin Carter Achievement Award” in 2009.

Beyond her playing career, Liz also spent many years refereeing and has coached numerous Sunbury Jets VJBL and domestic teams continuing to shape the next generation, embodying lifelong service to the Association.
