Alex Watson

Alex Watson was an ex-English Policeman before moving to Australia and worked with the Australian Customs Service.

Alex was a tireless and unforgettable servant of Sunbury Basketball. A constant at Boardman Stadium, Alex managed fixtures, ladders and eligibility with unmatched dedication and knowledge of SBA by-laws.

Representing the Saints Basketball Club and the Sunbury Basketball Association across numerous committees, Alex’s legacy lives on through the naming of the Boardman Stadium showcourt grandstand and the SBA’s “Scoretable/Statistician of the Year Award”.

His passing in 2018 marked the loss of a true Sunbury Basketball legend.
