Sunbury Basketball Association Welcomes Grant Wallace as New Business Manager!

Sunbury Basketball Association (SBA) is excited to announce the appointment of Grant Wallace as its new Business Manager, bringing with him a wealth of leadership experience and a strong legacy of success across basketball, sport administration, and community development.

With a career spanning over three decades, Grant has held senior executive roles at Basketball Victoria, Kilsyth Basketball, Youth Hostels Association (Victoria), and City of Whittlesea, with demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, operations, high performance, governance, and commercial development. Most recently serving as General Manager – Performance Pathways at Basketball Victoria, he was instrumental in securing $5 million in funding for the state’s High- Performance Hub Program and has been a tireless advocate for inclusive pathways and community-led sport development.

SBA President Glenn Ogston welcomed Grant’s appointment, saying:

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Grant’s calibre join the SBA team. His deep roots in Victorian basketball, his outstanding leadership track record, and his passion for community sport will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve. Grant brings the right mix of vision and experience to help take SBA to the next level - both on and off the court.”

Grant also shared his excitement about joining the Sunbury community:

Basketball has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m excited to work alongside passionate staff, volunteers and players to build on the strong foundation already in place. I look forward to supporting the club’s continued success, enhancing our facilities and programs, and ensuring SBA remains a hub of excellence, opportunity, and community pride.”

Grant begins his role immediately and will work closely with the SBA Board, staff, and local stakeholders to deliver on the association’s strategic objectives.
